Center-Wide Roof Installation

A significant capital investment is now transforming Gran Plaza Outlets from an open-air shopping center to a climate-controlled environment where the addition of a center-wide roof, along with air-conditioned common areas, will soon bring an even more enjoyable experience to Gran Plaza Outlets’ thousands of visitors. The $8 million improvement project is on target and scheduled for completion in early 2020.

First Phase in New Border Crossing Complete

Located directly adjacent to the Calexico West Port of Entry, the third busiest U.S./Mexico crossing point where more than 18 million people cross the border every year, Gran Plaza Outlets is now benefitting from the completion of a U.S. border crossing improvement project.

Specifically, the first phase of a new and improved port of entry facility -- just completed in September of 2018 -- is now increasing Northbound border crossing vehicular capacity from 52,000 to over 70,000 annually. Simultaneously, the improvement project is resulting in the significant decrease in processing times, as well.
